What to expect at the preserve.

Getting Here

Three Pines Preserve is at Grand Bar Ranch in San Antonio, FL — about 20 miles north of Tampa and minutes from Tampa Bay Sporting Clays. Detailed directions are sent with your confirmation email.

What's Provided

Guides and dogs, buggy or wagon transportation, drinks during the hunt, lunch afterward, Florida hunting licenses, and your birds cleaned and packaged to take home.

What to Bring

For the tower shoot we recommend ear and eye protection, blaze orange, and a hat with a bill. Bring your shotgun and ammo, or ask us about gun rental and extra ammo.

What's included in a hunt?

Guides and dogs, transportation in the preserve, drinks during the hunt, lunch afterward, Florida hunting licenses, and your birds cleaned and packaged. Quail hunts include a 15-bird-per-shooter limit (additional birds $10 each).

What are your rates?

Quail hunts are $600 per shooter for a half day and are booked by the buggy — each buggy holds up to 3 hunters with a 2-hunter minimum. Pheasant tower shoots are $425 per shooter for a three-hour shoot.

What's the deposit and cancellation policy?

Quail hunts require a $600 non-refundable deposit; pheasant tower shoots require a $100 non-refundable deposit. Cancellations due to weather will be rescheduled.

Do I need a hunting license?

No — Florida hunting licenses are included for all hunters.

Can you handle special requests?

Need gun rental, extra ammo, special dietary needs, a favorite drink in the cooler, or airport transportation? Let us know and we'll work to accommodate — Southern hospitality is what we do.

Where do we meet?

Directions to the preserve are sent with your confirmation email. We're located at Grand Bar Ranch in San Antonio, FL.

Pheasant What shot size should I use?

#5 or #6 lead shot.

Pheasant What choke should I use?

Modified choke for a single-barrel shotgun. Modified/Full for a double-barrel shotgun.

Pheasant What gauge shotgun should I use?

20 gauge, 28 gauge, or .410.

Quail What shot size should I use?

#7½ or #8 lead shot.

Quail What choke should I use?

Improved Cylinder for a single-barrel shotgun. Improved Cylinder/Modified for a double-barrel shotgun.
